Who we are and what this covers

Rotary Seamer Specialist, LLC, doing business as RSS MACLIN ("RSS MACLIN," "we," "us"), is a field service and equipment company headquartered in Barberton, Ohio. This policy describes the information we collect through rssmaclin.com, including the MACLIN Marketplace, and how we use and share it. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, or other platforms RSS MACLIN operates for vendors and business partners, which carry their own terms.

Information we collect

Information you provide to us.

  • Requests and forms. When you submit a parts or equipment request, a quote request, a "don't see what you need" form, or a contact form, we collect the information you enter, typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and the details of your request.
  • Marketplace activity. Items you add to a cart or include in a quote request. If online payment is offered, payment details are collected and processed by a payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Email signup. Your email address when you sign up for updates, such as MACLIN Marketplace announcements.
  • Careers. Information you choose to send us when you apply for a position.

Information collected automatically.

  • Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, including pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
  • Log and security data. Our hosting and content delivery providers record technical information such as IP address and request details to operate and protect the site.
  • Cookies, described below.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to respond to your requests and quotes, process orders and transactions, operate, secure, and improve the site, send marketing email you signed up for, evaluate job applications, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses two kinds of cookies.

  • Essential cookies. Session cookies keep your cart and quote session working while you browse the Marketplace. Our content delivery provider (Cloudflare) sets a security cookie that helps distinguish people from automated traffic. The site does not function fully without these.
  • Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics, deployed through Google Tag Manager. Google sets cookies and collects usage information when you visit. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though essential features such as the cart may not work without them. The site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

How we share information

We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers that host the site, provide analytics, send email, or manage customer relationships on our behalf. Suppliers and fulfillment partners, when sharing your request is necessary to answer or fulfill a quote or order involving their products. Payment processors, if you make a payment through the site. Professional advisors such as accountants and attorneys. Legal and safety purposes, when required by law or to protect our rights, customers, or others. Business transfers, if RSS MACLIN or the Marketplace is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Your choices

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages, such as responses to a quote you requested.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or receive a copy of it. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Data retention

We keep personal information as long as needed for the purposes described above, and then delete or de-identify it. Business and transaction records are retained as required by legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The site is intended for business users. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Visitors outside the United States

The site is operated from the United States, and information collected through it is processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
